tlc sponsor Earls Court Film Festival

So did your favourite film win?

Last Friday saw the conclusion of the 2nd annual Earls Court Film Festival, culminating in a fabulous gala evening to celebrate the wide array of talent on show across this year's entries.

Over 350 people joined us in the wonderfully atmospheric and evocative setting of St Cuthbert's Church, to view the films and meet the people behind them. The evening concluded with the announcement of this year's winners:

Earls Court Winner:
Kid Gloves

International Winner:

It was a special evening, enjoyed by all. Congratulations not only to the winners, but to all of the individuals involved in each of the shorts showcased this year. Not to mention a big thank you to all of you who attended Friday's gala evening, alongside the various events that took place over the last few weeks across Earls Court.

tlc's Toby Brown, Chairman of the Earls Court Community Trust and festival production partner, commented: "Earls Court has always had a fantastic arts and entertainment scene and we are delighted with the success of the film festival. We greatly look forward to showcasing Earls Court, through the medium of short film, again in 2017."

For information on all of this year's entries, head to the Film Earls Court website.

We can't wait until next year!

Another year, another Earls Court Film Festival! Following on from the overwhelming success of the inaugural event last year, 2016 is set to be even bigger!

Entitled Earls Court Shorts and covering a variety of genres, Film Earls Court will screen the work of this talented group of local filmmakers across a selection of local venues between 1st and 11th November 2016.

The showcased films will include The Fox, Missing, Kids Gloves, The Nightmare on Deskteeth Street and The Next Stop is Happiness Where this Bus Terminates. Each of the shorts were filmed in Earls Court this summer.

Just some of the featured actors include Himesh Patel (Eastenders), Gideon Turner (Cinderella, Holby City, Emmerdale), Guy Henry (Holby City), and Michelle Crane (Woodfalls, Another Class).

Film Earls Court and the Earls Court Short Film Festival have also collaborated with London Film Academy in Fulham to make a short film with the Earls Court Youth Club, presenting the community through the eyes of local youth.

The Festival will kick off on 1st November at The Troubadour, followed by the Finborough Theatre on 6th and 7th, and culminating at St Cuthbert's Church for a Gala Evening on 11th November.
