Meet the Team | Q&A with Toby Churchus

In our latest Meet the Team blog, we’re sitting down with Toby, our Sales Manager. We talk to him about his physical and professional challenges and successes along the way.

What is your role at tlc?

I am the Sales Manager here at TLC and therefore head up our fantastic Sales Team. My days are filled with; keeping my finger on the pulse with the current market; overseeing sales progression; and assisting all our current/future vendors with all they need, to get the best possible price for their sale.

What is your background?

I was raised in the countryside of Herefordshire and Worcestershire before moving to Cardiff to attend university. Neither of these lifestyles were quite busy enough for me and I couldn’t wait to move to the big smoke. I’ve been working in Estate Agency now for nearly 5 years and have thoroughly enjoyed every moment.

What values drive you?

I’m a big people person and my main driver is to help everyone, the more I can do for you the better!

What are your objectives for tlc over the next 12 months?

Our sales dream team are already outperforming all of our competition but this just drives us to achieve even more! We are working towards high goals this year to lead our expansion and begin our takeover across the rest of Kensington & Chelsea.

What do you enjoy doing outside of the office?

I am very active, taking any chance I get to compete in physical challenges. From Tough Mudders to the 3 Peaks Challenge, I have obtained a reasonable number of medals but I am always looking for the next big event I can try my hand (and body) at!

What is your favourite song?

This is a very tough question, being so fond of all music as I am, but I would have to say Kokomo by The Beach Boys. Such a feel good song, I’m never frowning when this song is playing!

What is one thing that might surprise people about you?

Despite my size and noticeably scary demeanour, I very much enjoy a Rom-Com, what’s not to love!

If you could be any animal, what would you be?

I would be an elephant if I could be any animal. They are incredibly intelligent, hold the title of largest land mammal (something I’m actually working hard at achieving currently anyway) and have a huge amount of emotional intelligence, which is incredibly important to me as a human.

What are three things on your bucket list?

Own a country manor with its own roundabout driveway
Visit every continent on the globe
Complete an Iron Man race
