Accounts Intern

Position: Accounts Intern
Reporting to: Caterina Cannas (Head of Financial Compliance)
Location: tlc Estate Agents, 13 Crescent Place, SW3 5EA
Term: 6+ week internship
Working Pattern: 3-5 full days per week

Purpose of the Role

tlc Estate Agents is offering a unique opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented intern to gain hands-on experience in property finance. Working across the Company Accounts, Service Charge Accounts, and Lettings Client Accounts teams, this internship offers exposure to multiple areas of our award-winning agency's financial operations. You will support daily accounting tasks, gain insight into sector-specific financial regulations, and build valuable skills in communication, organisation, and data accuracy.

Key Responsibilities 

Company Accounts Support

  • Assist with invoice processing and data entry into Xero.

Service Charge Accounts Support

  • Assist with monthly Client Bank Account reconciliations across the whole portfolio.
  • Assist with invoice processing and data entry into Blockman
  • Assist with Excel spreadsheets data preparation for migration to new software MRI Qube

Lettings Client Accounts Support

  • Assist with quarterly portfolio audits

General Administrative and Finance Duties

  • Data entry, document filing, scanning and organisation of digital financial records..
  • Shadow and support the accounts team in daily workflows and deadlines.

What You'll Learn

  • The structure and responsibilities of a property finance team with focus on Client Money handling practices.
  • Best practices in service charge management and landlord-tenant accounting.
  • Real-world use of software like Xero, Reapit, Blockman and QUBE MRI.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word; experience with accounting tools a plus.
