Alois Fierro

Assistant Block Manager

What is your background?
I grew up in Lausanne, Switzerland, surrounded by lakes and mountains. After finishing my education, I spent a year performing with bands at concerts and festivals across Switzerland. Alongside music, I started a side project in tech, which eventually brought me to London. I began my career in sales before moving into property management, eventually block management, where I have found the balance I had been looking for, a combination of solving problems and working with people.

What values drive you?
I value kindness, integrity and being someone people can rely on. I believe in treating everyone with respect, regardless of their status or background, and being willing to help with a smile. I admire the ability to stay calm under pressure and make even the most challenging situations look effortless, and that’s something I strive to bring to my work every day.

What are your objectives for tlc over the next 12 months?
I’m looking to take ownership of my own portfolio and continue to develop towards a Block Manager role. I also want to continue getting to know our clients, putting faces to names or recognising the voices of the people I speak to when they call. I believe those details make a meaningful difference when it comes to building connections.

What do you enjoy doing outside of the office?
Outside of work, I spend a lot of time involved in charity work, particularly organising activities for young people. One of my recent projects was a one-day event featuring a concert, a football tournament and a giant murder mystery game, attended by more than 100 people aged 15–25. I like creating experiences that people will remember for years.

What is your favourite song?
It depends on the season and the mood I'm in. If I had to choose an all-time favourite, it would be Clair de Lune by Debussy. It reminds me of my childhood. My mother is a gifted pianist, and I remember sitting by the piano while she played. The whole room seemed to become quieter, almost as if time slowed down for a few minutes...

What is one thing that might surprise people about you?
People are often surprised to find out that I can dance salsa, merengue and bachata. I grew up listening to Colombian music so it's in my DNA!

If you could be any animal, what would you be?
An eagle, flying over the Swiss Alps...

What are three things on your bucket list?

  1. Buy my mother a new piano. Hers has served her for many years and I'd love to surprise her with a new one.
  2. Return to Colombia to visit friends and family, it's been over 10 years!
  3. Take a road trip through Romania with my best friend. Why not?
