What is your role at tlc?
Director, Lettings
What is your background?
I grew up in Hamburg, Germany and later moved to Frankfurt to study International Management. During my studies I gained experience across several areas of the real estate industry, including Transaction Management, Construction and Business Development.
An internship at an estate agency in New York City eventually led me into lettings and brought me to London. I joined the tlc lettings team in 2019.
What values drive you?
Kindness, fairness and integrity are very important to me. I believe in working hard, staying grounded and treating everyone with respect. Those principles guide how I approach my work and how I interact with people in my personal life as well.
What are your objectives for tlc over the next 12 months?
Over the next 12 months we are focused on continuing to grow the lettings department and strengthening our relationships with landlords in the areas we operate in.
At the same time we will be guiding the team through the changes coming with the Renters Rights Bill, which is expected to bring the biggest shift to the lettings market we have seen in decades.
What do you enjoy doing outside of the office?
Outside of work I enjoy staying active. Whether it is skiing, diving, hiking or simply going for a run to clear my mind.
Travelling and experiencing different cultures is another big passion of mine, especially when it comes to discovering new food. I also enjoy cooking at home, working on DIY projects and going antique shopping. Finding something unique with a story behind it is always exciting.
What is your favourite song?
I enjoy a wide range of music and tend to listen to different genres depending on my mood. 80s and 90s music are probably my favourites, but I also enjoy film soundtracks and instrumental pieces. One track I always find myself coming back to is Time by Hans Zimmer.
What is one thing that might surprise people about you?
Although I was born and raised in Germany, my first language was actually Polish. I can still understand pretty much everything, but when it comes to speaking I am definitely a little out of practice. It is something I would love to improve again one day.
If you could be any animal, what would you be?
I would probably choose an eagle. They are incredibly graceful and powerful birds, and I have always found something quite inspiring about how effortlessly they move through the air. The sense of freedom and perspective they seem to have is something I really like.
What are three things on your bucket list?
