October 4th 2025 - October 25th 2025
1:30 PM - 2:30 PM
V&A South Kensington, Cromwell Road, London SW7 2RL (Meeting point: Cromwell Road foyer)
Celebrate Black History Month 2025 with the Inspiration Africa: Stories beyond the Artefacts tours at the V&A South Kensington. Running every Saturday in October (4, 11, 18 and 25 October 2025, from 3:30 to 4:30 PM), these special guided experiences uncover the rich African heritage narratives woven throughout the museum’s world-class collections.
Led by dedicated volunteer guides, these free tours share extraordinary stories that go beyond the artefacts on display, highlighting the cultural, historical and artistic contributions of Africa across centuries. The tours begin at the meeting point in the Cromwell Road foyer and offer an inspiring way to engage with the V&A’s collections from a fresh perspective.
In addition, visitors can explore related programming such as the Historical and Hidden Caribbean Tours, held on the last Sunday of every month, or embark on a self-guided journey with the V&A’s digital trail Africans in Europe.
